Mark
Politically correct term for `hit'. As in "Hey, I marked your ass, my marker shoots straight, mark me and mark my words". Another word used is tag. If it was up to me I would suggest `betoken' as the PC word for hit. My thesaurus says it is a synonym for `mark'. As in "Marshal, get him out of there, he's betokened, I betokened him on the hopper!"

Marker
Politically correct term for Paintball gun. Otherwise known as a betokener
(see mark).

Marshal
A Paintball referee.

Max
To ’Max Out’ or obtain a Max is to get the maximum possible score.

Newbie
A Paintball player with limited or no playing experience (also known as a ‘Punter’). 'Newbie-bashing' ( or being a ‘Punter Hunter’) is when more experienced Paintballers go out to spray paint some newbies.

Nicknames
All top players have them: i.e. Anthony ‘Ledz’ Ledbetter; Dave ‘Brittle’ Spittle; Graham ‘Interesting’ Easton; Teddy ‘Fat Mexican’ Kenawa; Ed ‘Blonde Bombshell’ Poorman; Pete ‘Robo the Homo’ Robinson; Chris ‘Gaylord’ LaSoya; Justin ‘BMX Bandit’ Owen and Laurent ‘Rico Suavez’ Hamet.
