Glad i didnt buy a stako, altho wasnt even thinking to buy one.

Same I always thought Stakkos seemed... dangerous to put it.
The idea of a disposable bottle holding 3k+psi of air seems somewhat dubeous. I mean why can't they be re-tested? Is it because they degrade over time? Which in its own seems bad because imo when they get near the end of the lifespan of the bottle I could see some more incidents popping up with these.
So, anyone who knows more about stakkos, why can't they be retested?
I am not disputing that for one second. but how many bottles were dodgy? 13or so?
At the end of the day, Stako bottles are manufactured to hold silly pressure levels, potentially lethal as i am sure everyone can agree??
This being the case, every individual bottle should be up to the job. I honestly believe that even an isolated incident should not be allowed to occur. I hope everything turns out ok for them, as i like the concept of weight reduction (being a lazy bast8rd), but it has certainly dissuaded me from purchasing one in the near future.

some guy on pbn said that one of his was leaky, and it was a month old.
from pure speculation i say its a small number, batch incident and those should be recalled, and replaced/ refunded.

amen to that, think we will get some sort of official answer as the weeks go by, but cant see this sorted in a few days
Yep same goes for me, no more tourneys until this is sorted, I'm not buying another bottle just to find out in a few weeks I can use the stako again.

tbh, its a loada **** imho. you know if your bottle is fked or not just be sensible about it. tbh, they check every bottle anyway...meh. apathy reigns supreme. pb is bs at times, lets be honest.
funny to think what the sponsored teams are doing. mind you theyll probably be taken care of its the small people who will be hit hardest as usual no doubt.
