I have the Aspire one which is similiar and it runs OpenOffice, its just like word and simple to use. Use my when i travel and stuff though really. At 150 this is a bargain.

This should have word though, as its running Microsoft windows XP.

Office applications don't tend to come bundled with the OS.

I belive i can answer part of that, Yes it has got wireless and well as in internet security you mean virus protection you can download that for free just like all standard laptops and pc's only come with a trial so nothing new there, and orginal post said he has only just took it out the box

But depends if it has Word, excel, powerpoint on it already.

Also need to see how i go about, or if i can even have a second laptop running on the internet here - its university register based stuff.

i could be interesed in this ! and to answer questions ! no it wont come with word etc ! it will be bog standard xp so will have word pad note pad ! as for internet security there a number of free versions availiable on the internet, but wont come with any !
