Plasmacam is a good start mate.

If you go down the eBay route, the cams may seem similar but plasmalights have the rights to the software used in theirs. I think there are a few vids on his YouTube channel. Give me a few minutes and I'll get you some links if you want ?

I'm pretty sure the cams come with an adapter to put them into a standard SD slot, either that or a microSD USB dongle thingy.

Drop him an email, I know the people who've bought his products swear by his customer service. He has a presence on here, but I think is more active on uks...

The cams come with a usb dongle, and the recording times will vary dependant on the conditions. In cold weather the battery will perform a bit less like all batteries, also the way the compressed video works is to only record the changes so if it is pointed at a fixed object it will consume less power than if the picture is constantly moving.
Hit me with an email if you need any more details/explaination. Sales@plasmalights.co.uk

You should go for a helmet camera, with barrel cams you get loads of junk footage of your barrel stuck in the dirt.
