I am completely new to paintball, and have been looking to buy a marker, I have looked around until a marshall at a local site mentioned this forum, I have read the rules of this site but still need a little more help on understanding them for example; when buying an item, does the buyer send the money over pay-pal and then the seller mails the package? Any help would be very much appreciated,

Yeah mate you pay then they post. Make sure you pay the fees or you leave yourself open to a scam (although the mods on here are razor sharp when it comes to scammers)

Top tips
take your time and do your homework make certain you know what you are looking for and what you are willing to pay
allways have a little something extra for that special gun
dont buy abused looking guns one mans anno rub and marks normaly meen a snake players gun or a careless player
there will allways be a near flawless gun if your not in a hurry
look for extras like barrel kits but try not to be fooled by aftermarket boards never found one that is worth 50 quid over stock

if you are uncertain what gun to get save some money and pick up something cheap like a pmr or mini to tide yourself over if you pay 70-100 chances are you will not lose anything in a few months
time when you know what gun you really want
