Ego 6 inline regulator / etek 1 compatability

Evening all.
A team mate has an ego 6, but the screw on the inline regulator to adjust the velocity has been completely chewed, so there's no way to increase it or remove the screw (shooting at about 180fps at the moment), in which he's playing in a match next weekend, and may not have time to get a new regulator bottom.

so 2 things really, where would i go about either

a) getting a new regulator bottom for the inline regulator if possible (who to call? etc)
or failing that if it wouldn't arrive in time:
b) i have an Etek 1, which looking at the user manuals has the same inline regulator, so would it be possible/safe to just take the whole inline regulator, or just the regulator bottom from my Etek1's reg and put it on my team mate's Ego 6?

Advice or help would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks,
Dodge-Gnome

You could use the etek one on it, but im sure you could get one from planet or a CP one off the forums...

Just post up for either... make sure you get a High Pressure one...

you are best off taking the whole reg off the etek and putting that on the ego rather than taking parts off one and onto the other as the differ slightly in some measurements, but replacing it should work fine

in terms of getting parts, it is pretty much up to you, you can go straight to eclipse and ask them for the specific part (if they still stock 2006 parts) or give it to a middle man (such as LIPS) to make sure that you are getting the right part, that it will solve the problem and it is installed correctly

hope this helps

cheers guys, i'll pass on the options to him and let him decide from here then as to what he does with his marker, just didn't want to risk a reg blowing up in his face next week :)
