eye cover screw

hey!

the screw in the eye cover of my proto 08 slg has just rounded off, yay! and i didnt know where to put this thread :S
i have a spare eye cover screw in my parts kit, so thats not a problem, the problem is unscrewing it off the gun

is there a technique/ way i can get it off so i can change it?

i have the same problem with my pm8 so any help would be apresiated, not sure if it is a common problem or not but it's definatelly frustrating
