Lexus = Luxury Toyota, Dye = Luxury Lexus?

This might have come up before, but I couldn't find anything about it.

I was working at a Toyota dealership a little while back and wearing a dye golfing visor with the dye logo on it. I didn't think anything of it, but after a while one of the managers enquired about my hat thinking I was interested in Lexus' (Lexi?!). Upon a closer look he realised that it wasn't the lexus logo, but very similar.

I'd never really thought about this, but they are pretty similar if you compare them....

Dye Logo:

Lexus Logo:

If you flip the Lexus logo horizontally and vertically:

Then change the colours of a dye logo a bit:

Voila! Pretty darn similar, I think.
Hmmmm...........

I can't help it. I have exams coming up and what better way to procrastinate and avoid revision than bum around the boards.....



...ok, I guess there are a lot of better ways.

I'll go do a few laps around Hyde Park now....

Althoug hits more of a "L", than a swoosh of the Dye "D" (yes I'm board too and have exams coming up)
