Having just returned from Jamie Paggets NEW site, I am pleased to report back to all you players in P8ntland, that its firkin awesome..... those of you that missed the Welsh Open how did you feel afterwards, reading about the event, take a tip from me you will not want to miss this one either.
Picture this rolling Staffordshire moorlands, that's green fields for our American cousins, for as far as you can see, a small farm, and in amongst all the lush green grass a huge safe area, fully equiped cafe area and kitchen, flushing toilets, and basins, covered staging area for at least 40 teams, and car parking no more than 20 metres away.
Jamie is still building but by the time the tourny rolls around, there will be a stage as well, enough of this tosh and nonsense what about the fields................
Well lets be honest a cricket pitch, it is not, but what we have is two speedball fields of generous proportions roughly 25m x 50m set out on a lovely flay green meadow, one populated with drums, and one with tyres, alongside them we will have two Sup-air fields.
We asked Jamie what he has planned for the future and were surprised when he sais, " by the time you return in July we will have 6 fields............watch this space.
Anyway back onto the tourny scheduled for the 19th May - round 5 MM, the limit for the event has been set at 40 teams.
We were wondering how we could make it better when Jamies brother suggested that teams could camp on site free, than I thought what about a players party on the Saturday night, so a DJ is being sought, and a beer tent brought in, fun and games a plenty are planned, so if you want in, or want more info either:-
Post here, contact us at midlandsmasters@aol.com or call Phil 07714 061235 or Mark 07714 907911.
One final question, what was your opinion of the pa announcements at Wrexham, should we keep the girl on?
Any other suggestions post here.
With 21 teams already booked in, call now to avaoid dissapointment.
Blakey.
