Hi All I Play Paintball about once maybe twice a month.

I have A Tippmann 98 Custom and I would Like to upgrade it.
BUT before i do I would like some advice.

I would like to add a Flat Line Barrel System to it. is it worth having.:) :( .

And a Remote line kit.

Can i change it from co2 to an air gun.

I would be gratefull if some one could help asap.

David.

do u mean the local site wont let u use your own marker,as ive never heard of a site not letting you use your own marker because its to high tech(unless its full auto,as thats illegal in the uk)
a flatline is good for woods
remotes tend to get tangled up in the trees/undergroth
if your keeping the tippy i would keep it on co2 and use the spare money on upgrades ie flatline, response trigger as a air system is going to be dear:D

Go with the flatline, i have one and it works great. it goes so far u wouldn't believe it. but the only down side is you can't arc over bunkers. its good if you stay back alot but if you are a front type player than don't get it, but its your choice;)

Flatlines are Great if u have the time to set them correctly, eg. velocity (flatlines are very picky) and make sure the barrel is perfectly vertical. You could try a remote line but they don't allow u to get a good shooting position everytime which is important in Rec ball. Other then that I would get a good reg, like the palmer Stabilizer and use CO2 or O2 the gun will shoot good with both, but better with air, you will love it. Good luck ;)

using own markers

I've found this to be the case too. Quite a few sites in my area won't let people bring their own markers to a normal 'punter'day. 3 of the 4 sites local to me won't allow own markers & i haven't asked the 4th. Reasons given are that other punters feel at at disadvantage, site insurance and problems with the velocity being tweaked after chrony on own markers, or modes being switched, eg into turbo or burst.

you mean the site is so nieve to the types of paintball guns on the market they dont want you using them, simply cos they have no idea what they are capable of.
nice to know that to own a site you dont need to know anything about paintball.

but it is comon. at the same time its also quite common for "walk-ons" (people with their own kit) to be placed in "punter" (people without their own kit) games which usually leads to the walkons becoming punter hunters. and ruining the punters days.

something i can say doenst hapen down my local site without prior consent of the punters.

Sure the flatline makes the ball go much further but you really gotta be sure that the gun it fitted the right way. If its off on a slant even a little, the ball can spin of the wrong direction. Just make sure it is in right and its worth having.
