Virtue Laser Eyes

Hi there, I just ordered some Virtue Eyes for my Ego 7 and plugged them in and only 1 side lights up.

Now I read somewhere before that only one side is ment to light up and the other isn't. could someone clarify this for me please ?

Why does only one LED light up?

One LED is the reciever and one is the sender. This is a normal function.

Why does the laser eye blink?

This is a battery saving feature. Instead of sending a constant beam of light the LED will blink.

Why doesn't the laser eye fit into the firing tube?

All of the Virtue laser eyes are made exactly the same if your eyes feel to tight just be gentle with them and know that the LEDs can be bent slightly to help fit into the eye slot. Once installed if you need to realign them use something soft like a Q-tip or eraser from a pencil and adjust from the feed neck.

Virtue laser eyes are pretty useless in the 07 ego, due to the shape of them, if you look at the planet laser eyes or even the standard eyes, you'll notice they're both square to fit into the milled recess, unless virtue have changed the shape of their eyes, only one will be square and the other round, that means there will be movement soon as you put the eye covers on with the rounded one. I had the same problem in my 07, when the eye cover went on it moved the rounded eye and either wouldn't register a ball or always showed a ball in the breach, I emailed Virtue and they recommended using electrical tape to hold them into positon. I tried it and it didn't work, luckily I managed to get some second hand planet laser eyes and sold the virtue ones.
