It sounds like im backing Stako up here which isnt my intentions i assure you, but im just surprised that no one has posted up here before saying their Stako was leaking, not like they have just been released is it - just a quick search on here has shown no issues being raised on here then all of a sudden, bam, issues appear!.
In the Spanish forums this issue has been discussed for months. We have located at least 8 bottles with these problems. Stako never got back to any of the owners that contacted them (5, afaik)

Anyone smell politics at work here?? i mean stako is a very light very (in my limited experience) very good bit of kit...that isnt made by a Big US company or owned by brass eagle smart parts or any other big firm. Stako is a threat to these companies.

I would take the stand that its a bad batch and people have been jumping on the we hate stako band wagon far to quickly in the hope that if you throw enough ****e then some of it must stick and the threat of stako to the big companies is removed or reduced. A lot of new products have teething problems, remember these bottles are tested to pressures far above and beyond what they would normally go through. remember the problems with the 07 ego solenoid, or the Invert mini, now those are just two recent teething problems of late, i didnt see billion page posts about how we were all going to get blown up...or sucked through a vacuum etc etc etc.. I would say get a grip and wait until these have gone through the proper process. Ive had no problems with stako at all.

Sorry but a dodgy solenoid or a mini not working properly wont potentially kill some one 4500psi going bang will if its not proved 100% safe it shouldnt be used

not arguing against that....but it hasnt been proven to be unsafe, there is only the suspicion and until its confirmed it is just that. a few dodgy bottles does not an unsafe type of bottle make IMHO, again just opinion but people seem to be jumping on the anti stako side a bit quickly, just saying lets wait. aint looking for an argument

Yes it could be politics, but we are hearing issues about the bottles in at least 3 countries.
I say to you, your bottle is potentially unsafe. Wow you have never had a problem, but how will you feel if you continue to use it and then you find out yours is one of the bad batch. You guys must also realise that if H-Pac do not issue that statement then in British Law they will be liable if one of these bottles fails and someone gets hurt in the UK. Also now this statement is made any liability falls to the owner of the bottle. Until we found out the batches involved is it worth the risk.

so basically what you are saying, untill someone gets killed or seriously injured, we should just brush this problem under the carpet, and just put it down to politics and anti stako band wagon!
untill this bottle has been proved to be safe...this issue should be kept high profile!

safety has to come first...end of!!, regardless if stako loss money and business, thats up to stako when this is all proven or unproven wether they take legal action, untill then i for one will not be using my bottle

Too true!

Filling a Stako with the knowledge of what happened in Germany is plain stupid.

Anyone who is present when someone tries to fill a Stako should see it as a duty of care to inform said stupid / ignorant person to the dangers they are putting themself / others in.

A bad patch?? In 4 different countries (that we know of!) and for about 1/2 year..... Yeah - I witnessed one in january here in Denmark, totally new yet it had already starting cracking up after a few fillings!!!!

I will have to ask how big a patch you guys think we are talking about?! It sounds ridicilous - there is problems with stako bottles, end of story!

Seriously - how can any of you doubt that there is a problem? And how can any of you think so "light" on it? You are CRAZY if you keep on using your bottles before this matter is solved and there is solid proof on them being 100% safe!

We are not talking about loosing up to 150 £ here, we are talking about the risk of loosing your life if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time!
