EGO 06 Bolt Pin Jumping

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me, every so often the pin that connects the bolt to the rammer on my ego jumps up to its release position which in turn obviously stops it from firing.

I've removed the pin and made sure the recess in the back where the sprung insert sits is clean along with the insert itself. The spring also seems to be in good condition.

Before anyone asks, yes the bolt pin is the correct way round (so the insert sits into it) when this happens

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem before but any advice on a fix would be great!

If it's going to be a case of a buying a new bolt any suggestions on which one to go for would also be appreciated.

Try re-stretching the spring? This happened on my 07 a couple of seasons ago, just stretched the spring and all good.

what bolt and pin are you using?

the length of the pin changes from year to year, if you are using a newer or after maket bolt, try putting the stock 06 pin in the bolt you are currently using

If its not any of the below could it be the retaining screw Ryan if this was loose, it could easily "jump"/ fall out.

I'll give the spring stretching a go and see if that helps.

As for what bolt/pin combo is in there I'm not sure as I got the marker 2nd hand. I don't think it's the stock bolt (certainly doesn't look the one pictured on the 06 manual anyway!)

I also realise this is off topic but to save from starting a new thread, anyone know where I can get a new trigger pin from. The original one has seen better days and is causing a very slow trigger so would rather bung a fresh one in there if possible. If not I'll have to clean up the old one.

Hey mate , the 05 and the 06 has this problem with the trigger pin that`s why it was changed, but not a problem ...I have an 05 which I play with most of the time and in 2005 found I was firing with No pin ( lost it ) relying on the magnets, however I`ve found a good trick and has never let me down to date, that is using a punch on the side of the pin pushing it through then using a bit of fine sand paper buff it up like new, then put a little oil on ,NO more trigger stick , after you put it back just dab a little clear nail varnish on ends to keep weather at bay and you`ll never lose it either because of the varnish, do it about every 3 x months , then laugh at all the people that tells you of trigger sticking
..VOILA there you have it , should take you about 5 mins.....Bluey
