Ego star frame

Just bought an 05 Ego, and someone mentioned that from the picture it looked like it didn't have the stock frame. I got it today and noticed that it had a integrated snatch grip, which would make it a star frame I think. My question is, was there a run of team branded frames from that time period. I only ask as I took the grips off on the left side of the from was stamped XSV 1 or 2. If so, what made these frames different.

All ego star frames 05/06 had snatch grips.
There was a number of xsv ego 05's made.
Easy way to determine whether you have an 05 or 06 star frame (as 05 & 06 frames WITH there internals are inter-changable with 05/06 bodys) is have a look at where the trigger spur is (back of trigger which activates the switch on the board). If located center of trigger its an 06, if located offset to the right its an 05.

Looks like an 05 Frame then, as the spur is offset.

thats defo an 05 star frame, the 05 had the inward dent on the trigger frame

you may find that it origonally came with the XSV ego to match but got sold and bought and slapped on that ego
