Etek 1 leak

Hi,

I have a Etek 1. The moment I pressurise the air tank, air leaks out of both the bottom of the inline regulator and a bit comes out of the body where I attach the barrel. The moment I pressurise, the o ring pops off a little around the bottom of the regulator and air leaks at an alarming, loud rate.

Do I need to turn down the velocity or buy a new Inline regulator? I have cleaned up, oiled and replaced new o rings but still the gun leaks air :tsk:

PE are spot on when it comes to repairs.

When you say you have cleaned it up and replaced the orings, does that include those in the inline reg?

What about the LPR under the barrel?

TBH, I would send it off. Easier and with much more piece of mind!

personally, i would change all the orings in the inline reg, check to see if the piston seat is damaged and intact (replace if necessary).
Turn the inline reg down and try another bottle. If using a different bottle is fine, there could be a chance the reg on your bottle could be pushing out more pressure than it should.

If after doing the above without success, then i would recommend sending the marker for a service.
