Have a scout round the http://www.ebuyer.co.uk website, I recently picked up a 250 Gb HDD from there (£36.07) for my laptop and a caddy for the old 160 Gb drive for about £5.09, runs fine on USB (no mains cable required) power alone and is truly portable and most useful when uploading 8 - 12 Gb of pictures at a time! I also use a pair of Lacie External HDDs at home to back everything up, twice!

i just picked up a 1tb my book for £65 from comet...... bargain
Considering that PC World sell a 500Gb My Book at that price it definately is.

My mates just bought one for DJing, PC World staff recommendation.
Was not happy when I showed him the section in the manual that states
that My Books are NOT portable external storage, oops
