How much Co2 can i put in a 1.1L air bottle?

Got this air bottle and until i can get an air system i'm gonna use it with Co2... How much can i put in?

1.1 3000psi Luxfer bottle

and, how will it compare to a 20oz bottle?

Well if you weigh a 20oz full it is about 3lbs (I think) and when I fill my 1.1l I usually fill to 4lbs or just over. On a cocker this is enough to keep you going for a long time.

If I remember correctly you should fill the bottle so the final total weight is 3lb 3oz.

This leaves plenty of spare room for expansion in the bottle.

Filling to 4lbs is over the top and could lead to drawing liquid, especially if the anti siphon is not set up correctly.

Now you know that - weigh your empty 1.1 bottle and the remainder of 3lb 3oz is the amount of CO2!!!!

3lbs 2 1/4 oz to be precise... so by my maths i can put a whopping 3/4 of an oz into this high pressure air bottle

Erm HPA tanks arent designed to hold Co2, due to the effects of it expanding and contracting of the liquid. And if i remember luxfer is like some kind of fibre. And they are severly affected by liquid co2, causing a serious hazard.

I suggest you keep using your 20oz till you can get air fills.

Erm i thought that Luxfer was the make of bottle... not the material - which is an alloy bottle with a fibre wrap... Therefore they should be ok with Co2.
