I have 2 points to make;

1. I agree with TL, Joe Schmoe really is a waste of time, why not get a pro baller and do a one page interview with them, Im sure they will be glad of the publicity Or do profile of some up and coming brit teams.

Ok if you do want to keep the JoeSchmoe then fine but there are a lot of UK and europe recballers (just look at how many turned up to the NvS event), so why not get a few of these guys in there. Also apart from the big NPPL/PSP and millenium events and some big US rec event there doesn't seem to be any coverage of smaller events. You could take a page or two (maybe instead of JoeSchmoe) and put a little bit in about events like the 5man and 7man Temple events, Midland Masters events, Series 2002, SW league etc. also I am sure there are equal events like this in the US. It would be a bit like the papers Sport section, with the ManU v Arsenal (or Maxs Masters) as well as a small bit on Torquay v Brighton (or Temple 7man).

Just my little view.

IIRC Ledz was wandering around the OTE walk on day last month with a camera for that very purpose.

Keep an eye out and see if we can out strange the yanks, (doubt it, didn't see anyone with body armour worn outside their gear and camo tape covered vent holes on their cheap ass mask )

well i see that in PGI it has gone with a younger player..........and i too agree that it should go and be replaced with something based around a tourney team/player not just from the US.

So i have the answer, i'll be in next months PGI, they send me some questions or come and see me. Get a cool photo of my JT's!!!!!!!!!

and then they could call it something like "BREAKOUT, the ballers of tomorow"

cos im only ickel (17 wow not even old enough to drink) and i could say stuff about playing for a team, marshaling and the mood of the British paintball scene......it rocks....etc..etc...etc and know what im going on about.

now this is a good idea cos it will be tourney based and also i want to be in PGI soooooo badly#!!!!!! please!!!!!!! start a thread, lets get chris in PGI!!!!!!

Or get rid of it and replace it with more tourney coverage. As Robbo keeps saying he won't cover small UK events cus people want to read about the larger more important events not some crap event down the local farm. So why the hell do we want to read about any old rec baller, playing with his mates down the local farm. How do you select them just turn up at a random field and look for the biggest Nam type there?

Fellas, I tried fighting this battle months ago, Joe Schmoe is going to be around for awhile. Not only did I ask its purpose, but I also asked where the heck all the Europeans were. As you all are already aware, I found out then how small of a rec. scene you guys and gals have got over there. Although small, it's hardly nonexistent, so I was still curious how PGI couldn't find any Schmoes outside the U.S. Well, I've now heard that PGI was offering a hundred pounds to players at the North vs. South game, and there were NO takers. I don't understand, but hey, PGI tried.

As far as all the other arguements FOR Joe Schmoe, do a search for it and I'm sure you'll find the thread I started under a similar title. This may save some serious typing for Mr. Big, Rancid, Teej, and Pete.

Blimey, it's even got its own threads on p8... that's more than the letters page and news and gear get. How can we cut summat that stimulates so much debate?

And why, pray tell, do they have to be Brit teams? Are the US and the UK the only countries where paintball is played?
