Mayhem: Your input wanted!

Okay, by the time some of you read this you will have returned from playing Max Masters.
Unfortunately I wasn't there, but I spent a lot of time on the phone to a few people who were there. Some of the stuff I heard was good, some of it was bad. But since I wasn't there, I'm not willing to comment on it, because I'd just be stating someone else's opinion.
Right, what I'm getting at it is this:
One of the guys involved in organising The DMA (Dutch Masters Amsterdam/Mayhem Masters) asked me to ask you guys what you would like to see in and around the tournament. What do you guys think has been missing so far in the Millennium Series? What was so good at tourney X that it needs to be at every leg of the series? All those sort of questions...
So, if you have any ideas and suggestions, please post them up, and you never know what these guys can get organised by the time Mayhem rolls around.

Thanks, it's much appreciated.

Hmmmmm,

Heres a couple for you, revert back to Tolouse style pre-game chronoing, utilising the hand held chronogrpah that will be used during the actual game. Once chronoing is complete those 2 teams are held in a pre-field location with armbands and ends already decided before previous game has finished.
Have the air and chrono station available Friday for teams walking fields and then 1st morning before games start have a much larger chono area with all the field chronos available to players on top of those normally available, this would cut that massive queue every 1st morning at every Millenium event. Once the games are about to start chronos can then be return to their fields.
Have a uniformed game start proceedure for every field (how hard is that!!)
Find a beautiful, large and airy players setup hall like Germany (that was soooooooo nice) but find some better flooring that doesn't become ice-like after paint gets chrushed on it.

More to come, am very tired after Germany and want to go to sleep for ever.

atmosphere

You gotta sort out the whole atmosphere bit. We are trying to be an adrenalin fuelled bunch of dudes so the whole set needs to be pumped up, music (not during games obviously) and decent MCs who are fully into what's goin' on, there aint no point in getting someone's dad's mate round to say a few words between games, we need a DUDE, or DUDETTE that is willing to pump it all up the whole weekend.

Get some decent marketing going on throught Amsterdam before hand otherwise no public interest will be aroused. Basic posters with real nice shots of 'ballers with venue and dates on 'em and simple flyers that are the same, shell out and get a thousand or so handed out all over the place.

Plenty room for players and some kind of stewards to make sure certain teams don't abuse status and take up about 10 tables when 2 is enough. Usher teams out (nicely of course) when their sessions are up. AND security must be sweet, guns and stuff are way too expensive to get nicked.

Oh yeah, and half naked girlys with big lungs helping keep me calm before games. Oil optional. :D

Beer, birds and balls :)

Pumping sounds would be great, Could even do it over games if it was turned down to keep non playing audience Pumped whilst we ballers get down with the game.

PLenty of food, not just burgers but a wide range from healthy to instant death.

Maybe shuttles from town to site, could help drag people in to watch

Did i mention the girlies, lots of em, hey maybe 1 per team just to carry our stuff, We gotta leave all ours at home as we are combining the event with the captains stag do :)

Pumping sounds will not be a problem. One of the people involved over here is the owner of the biggest nightclub in Amsterdam...
One thing about music though. Last year people were complaining that at Toulouse the music was monotonous. So am I right in assuming that you want to hear a mix of different music styles?
