NOT Sure where this should be posted.

I know this is a bit of a wish, and the hounds of hell will find it a miracle if it can be answered but! have the millennium sorted next year’s venues yet, or as per the norm shall I just think of a number double it and multiply that buy the sum mass of the sun.
And yes I know how much stick I am going to get, for putting this up this early but hay some of us have to plan and make arrangement for family and work.
BRING IT ON:cool:

I'm not so sure any major Paintball league in the world has sorted out all its venues for next year so why you should expect the Millennium guys to be is a little puzzling.

I don't think you will get any stick but I think you may well attract an accusation or two of perhaps being a little unreasonable if only because you expect the Millennium guys to be somehow well ahead of the game if only to dovetail with your social needs.
Jeeeez, I ain't even got that sorta clout mate :)
I know for a fact that the Millennium guys are looking at venues with a view to pleasing its customer base (teams and vendors) rather than some of its own board members which can only be a good thing.

When they decide when and where, no doubt they will come on here and let everyone know but until then, you may well have to stall filling in the blanks on your undoubtedly crammed 2007 social calender :)

You can't expect the Series to answer any of these questions yet.

As with any business, they have to complete the process they are in, before they can evaluate and change stuff.

I would expect them to get next season sorted out in october/november - if they are professional, in the following order:

1) Number of events
2) Formats
3) Number of teams per division
4) Venues
5) Dates
6) Informing the general public on the above
7) Securing sponsorships and vendors
8) Rules

I realise all of this but have a seperate question to add.

As madrid was a bit of a shambles this year is there any chance of it going back to malaga beach next year.

This is a purely selfish question as one of our team members parents has just bought a huge property in the area and we wanna play it lol.?????

I think the idea of an Iberian event is quite popular among the teams and players but....and there is a huge but here....as long as you know who doesn't get to run it.
Certainly the Malaga event was pretty cool but if holding a 2007 Iberian event means Pedro having to organise it then I'm afraid it will not be approved by the Board, I don't wanna put words in the Board's mouth but I would be HUGELY surprised if Pedro was let anywhere near tournament promoting ever again under the umbrella of the Millennium Series....and rightly so !!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately professionalism is an elastic concept.
What we in the paintball world consider professional is really a big joke.
Getting next year sorted in october/november? That's way too late if you want to get real outside sponsorship involved.

As paintballers, we are too easily awed by "shiny things", we're a bunch of magpies. I have yet to see real professionalism emerge. Although the first inklings are there.

Not an attack on your post Nick, I get and agree with your point. It's just that the word professional used in combination with anything paintball tournament related makes my brow wrinkle...:D

I agree Jay

But, as long as the MS is running an experiment this season (M7/M5) - it is much too early to worry about major outside sponsorships.

Get the formats right this year, evaluate, set up for next year AND the year after - sticking with the same formats throughout - and then you can start talking major outside sponsorships in August/September next year, where most major corporations plan their advertising for 2008.

It is way too late this year anyway.... but starting to talk 2008 with target corporations in early 2007, for a decision in August/September, for 2008 - is just about perfect.

At least, that is what I would do... but then very few (if any?) on the MS board have any real experience with big time advertising/sponsorships ;)
