Okay guys call me a little paranoid but I have just registered a team for Malaga using the EPBF online system, so, I have just received an E mail from them with ALL my credit card details on it!!!!!

I have some questions.

Registering online with EPBF using your card is it?

A. Secure
B. Mean I have now paid my entry fee to the Malaga Event and my Team is registered!!!!

Can someone please tell me what is going on with this as I have NEVER had my full details E mailed to me after an online transaction!!!!

Check to see if you have the padlock in the bottom right hand corner, if so it will be encrypted. If you were wise enough to use something like Barclaycard or egg then you are covered with Online protection fraud.

Did you see the good old little padlock to prove the site was secure; anywhere around your browser window (firefox it's in the address bar, some it's at the bottom near the status bar... etc); whilst you were entering your card details?

edit: beaten to it...

I registered earlier and the page you enter your details on doesn't appear to be secure and doesn't display a padlock or https://

:(

Luckily I didn't enter any card details!

No there was no padlock, however I did receive a flash up message at the top of my browser or Identity safe.

I have received an E mail from the Millennium Series saying "We know that SSL issue, but you do _not_ have to give credit-card
details via e-mail to register, it' just an option. We're working on
that, e-mail transmission of cc-details is disabled now.
"

Now I got an E mail from the EPBF saying I was registered with all my card details.....and I mean ALL!!!!!!

Tell you what, if I get stiffed on my card 2 months before my wedding there will be hell to pay, you think Big Sid's a scary guy....wait till you see who I'm marrying!!!!!!

Security of the form you use to make your payment is not relevant if the people you make the payment with are then going to take the credit card information you sent them and EMAIL it back to you. EMAIL! That means the credit card information could now be sitting, unencrypted, on every mail relay server between EPBF's server and the recipient.

Email is the least secure anything on the internet. EPBF or whoever screwed up big time if they're emailing your credit card information back to you. There isn't even any reason to do so - you already know what your credit card info is!

It also means they are likely storing your credit card details, naked, in their database, which then leads you to wonder how secure their database is. It's far more secure to have all credit payments processed directly by a credit card processor, whose entire business is taking care of those sorts of things, than to try and collect and then process those details yourself.

cancelled!!!!

I have cancelled my card as of now!!!!

Now, I'm getting married in like less than 3 months, I have a $hit load of things to pay for, and now I have to wait 7-10 days for a replacement card!!!!!!

I'm am not a happy man, and my mrs to be is pretty pi$$ed off as well.....

Quote from my credit card company "They did what?, as in an E mail with all the details needed to use your card?"

Thank you Millennium!!!!!
