As i have no bias in my head so far, i think i'll take the opportunity to defend the idea of the lining. How does air get inbetween the two layers?![]()
Surely they are airtight?
Also, if you read the side of the bottle, it does say:
Directions for use: Do not fully empty, close the cylinder valve, close the shut-off valve, to be filled only with air (atmospheric gas) according to EN 12021."
Wouldn't the bit in bold stop any air from getting inbetween the two layers??
when you fill it if it is leaking form the bottle its a stakosorry to sound like a complete noob...but exactly how do you tell if your bottle is made by stako or another comany...
i only ask as i have a fibre wrap air bottle and am not sure of the maker...all i know is that it has a crossfire reg....
any help would be appreciated.
The chances are if you had this system brand new and it has a crossfire reg it will be a SCI (structual Composite Industries) Cylinder and will be no problem.sorry to sound like a complete noob...but exactly how do you tell if your bottle is made by stako or another comany...

A bad patch?? In 4 different countries (that we know of!) and for about 1/2 year..... Yeah - I witnessed one in january here in Denmark, totally new yet it had already starting cracking up after a few fillings!!!!
I will have to ask how big a patch you guys think we are talking about?! It sounds ridicilous - there is problems with stako bottles, end of story!
Seriously - how can any of you doubt that there is a problem? And how can any of you think so "light" on it? You are CRAZY if you keep on using your bottles before this matter is solved and there is solid proof on them being 100% safe!
We are not talking about loosing up to 150 £ here, we are talking about the risk of loosing your life if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time!![]()
stako ftwExactly my thoughs, and to those people who cry like children "blah blah im not spending more money on a new tank cos i cant handle the barely noticable ammount of extra weight", Personally i think its completely immature. Sure, go ahead fill Stako's, but its becoming more and more obvious this isnt just effecting 1 batch, when a stako does explode (and im betting its only a matter of time) lets see your responces then?
Personally, I HOPE stakos get banned across the UK, everything that people are saying makes it more and more obvious they just arnt upto the job.
