I can't see why people can't just be PM'd.
Or a 3 strikes rule After 3 your threads just get axed, maybe people will learn that way.
I forgot on one of them, if it had been axed I would have known why.

No three strikes rule please...that would mean the mods would have to start keeping lists of who did what...that sucks.
I just ask nicely and if they don't change it within a day or so, the thread gets the choppitychop. Seems fair enough.

This thing rocks! This is the nicest, coolest, fastest, coolest, nicest, coolest, fastest, nicest ego evor!

The fact that he acknowledges he shouldn't do it but does it anyway "My excuse, i'm 13" (says that under his screen name). He can read and knows the rules but disregards it. Then uses the fact that people don't like his spaming, bumping and factless posts to get to people.

Incidently - why would anyone actually want to boost their post count? Is there a prize? Can I have mine now?

Mine isn't an attempt to bump my post count, if it was it would say something inane along the lines of: "dat gat looks nice" or something equally as useless. My post is merely my opinion on a new trend (and a rather annoying one) that has struck these hallowed forums.

I have no idea what the fascination is with post counts? To the people that deem them important, it seems to be a way of showing the world how intelligent and popular you are. There appear to be no prizes unfortunately.

Back to the point, I was unaware that posts in the classifieds section don't count. But all that shows is that these posts are even less useful.

I understand that people are trying to help, but can that not be done via PM? New users should be reading the rules before posting, the rules state that the country of sale must be stated in the thread title. So if someone hasn't read the rules they, in theory, shouldn't be posting... no? Experienced users should add the country to the title as a matter of course by now. And there loads of threads giving the hint in the classifieds already, do we really need every new thread to contain it?
