Capture the flag. Shoot every one on the other team, then go get theirflag from their side and bring it back to yours.

Tourney Formats
Tournament games can very greatly, but here are some details that I hope will help you (basically, a tourney can be made up of any combination of the following options):
1) 3 - 10 Player per Team
2) 5 - 15 Minute Games
3) Center Flag, Double Flag, or Triple Flag
4) 2 - 3 Teams per Game
5) Limited or Unlimited Paint
These are only guidelines and tournaments game can be different form this, but they do cover the most popular formats. For example, you can have a Seven-Player, 10-Minute, Double Flag (i.e. a flag in each base camp), Two Teams, Unlimited Paint format. Or a Three-Player, 8-Minute, Triple-Flag, Three Team, Limited Paint format.
If I've missed anything out, somebody correct me please. Hope that helps - ask if you need any more info.

thanx for all your help i am starting a new team and we want to know what tactics to use to practice for our first tournament.
i have read alot of mags but never payed attenton to tournament stuff because i didnt think i could pull together one.

I think your best bet is to jump in at the deep end and give a tournie a go.
Find a small local tournament thats going on in your area, the organisor will be able to explain the format that is being used, and then take the oppotunity on the day to watch some games and speak to some of the more experience teams there.
You'll find that you'll soon get the hang of what's involved.
