Gun Laws
There has been a lot of "information" spread about the intended ban on air weapons. Since I missed all of the press witch hunt because I have been on holiday, I felt I had to get up to date on the situation. Below is a link that will explain the Govt' ideas not the press idea. It is informative take a look

Yes there will be changes and yes it could have repercussions for the paintball market but if the UKPSF continue to put our point to the Home Office then the effects if any should be limited to the age restrictions (purchasing and ownership). We will continue to monitor the situation.

I have posted this on another thread but felt it was a good idea to add it to this thread.
One point - Paintball is a small industry in the UK - we deal with guns (markers) we shoot people, some sites use "war" as game scenarios, it is the way the game is seen by Joe public, we are moving away from the Rambo image towards a "sporting" image BUT we are a soft target!!!!
I personally feel that letters to MP's or FAX's could highlight paintball to some MP looking to get a bit of "TV/press" space and make a name for themsleves. They will say "hang on they shoot people this can't be right" they will take up the case to ban the violent sport. You know what MP's are like they like the limelight so don't supply the ammunition to them. IF it is needed then there is a time to do it - the time is not now when the "witch hunt" is in full swing.
The UKPSF have direct contacts with the Home Office - these are the people who make the law - they will deal only with governing bodies so back the UKPSF and we will make approaches in the area that matters not to a MP looking for a quick PR fix!!
Sorry a bit of a rant but it must be post holiday blues!!!
