hi can any one help me with my virtue bored , i bought a second hand ion that came spare with a vurtue bored but iv found out that the led has fallen out so can any one tell me where to get it fixed or what ever else.

i dont have the led so i dont no what mode it is in i think its in 3 quik shot and brakes out into full auto

that mode is.... nxl full auto i think? something like that lol.
don't know what to do about the led

If the LED is actually missing then you might be able to get one fitted by sending it direct to Virtue in the states, but I think a new board is probably the best option Keep your eye out for one on here or try the wanted section, unless the guy sold it to you as fully functional in which case I'd take it up with the seller.

well i he just threw it in 4 free he did say their was somthing wrong with it but like you said il proberly just buy a new one and trade it in to nock off the price . thanks for helping

I have recently purchased a led panel light class set of the Arduino Boards for my High School Engineering class. The programing is very simple for the students to understand. My end game is to use the chips for led outdoor lighting simple robotics. But before that i want to make a simple 10 led strip lights 12v display that the students can take home for cheap.
The Idea is that students program the chip then remove it and plug it in to their light display. Has any one done this before?
If not, I need to know a few basics.
Which pins hook up to the timing crystal?
What is the spec on the crystal?
Can the Arduino run on 9V? (Simple battery clips make 9V perfect)
