
Hang on - if the gun leaks down the barrel, then the valve isn't sealing.
If the valve isn't sealing as you describe, then the pressure in the LPR will be too low to succesfully cycle the ram and c-o-c-k the hammer.
Things to try:
c-o-c-k it manually, does it stop leaking.
If so, wind the IVG all the way out flush (the velocity will be way low - but we can worry about that later) Does it still leak?
If not, remove the valve, inspect for damage. Clean , lube and re-assemble it. Does it still leak?
