New team, new website

Its not the way to go yet, when most people dont have broadband, plus most people cant get it due to BT's **** rollout programme.

The way to go is reducing the image sizes to increase the speed for everyone.

point taken phil.....but somone has to go for it.....they did what they set out to do. make a site with all the bells and whistles.

I wasn't going easy or back pedalling in any way..as for my site, yes it is simple (decent amount of vistors and listed on all the major search engines) but then as previously covered thats why it was designed that way to get the maximum amount of vistors to enjoy everything, I will redesign with bells and whistles when the numbers that CAN enjoy it increase, for now it will stay as it is. Now for a site with severe bells and whistles the www.nikefootball.com site rocks for the use of graphics and interactive elements (oh I don't like football but the site is good)
Innovation is to be applauded, but mass appeal is better, if only for the short term.

howdy mark! and you others.

i guess there are alot more folks with broadband in norway, than in UK. thinking percentage vice/# of citizens. but im sure the # of people with broadband internationally will grow, if not at lightspeed, quite fast.

as my kids did this site they didnt bother to think about people with poor connections or small resolutions. they are totally aware that this is not good web development etiquette and that it may upset some, but then again, they are geeks, slackers, suckers for gadgets and drunks. so it just got that like that. and so it comes naturally that some folks with slower connection will comment on this. no problem. the Nike site is good looking. just like every other big ass company site. but it looks "corporate". my kids are anti-corporate and support soul, fire & alcohol.
